This was recorded at the Manchester International Festival. If you're a fan of the band's music you need to go buy this DVD right away. If you've never heard Gorillaz, you should go buy it anyway. It's one of the most diverse, moving and joyous concert films I've ever seen.

Actually, DA, you might be pleasantly surprised. Any group that goes from rap to gospel to the Chinese zither and can pull it off, is at least worth a listen. The concert is Demon Days done in it's entirety.
One of the things that I found most impressive was that the actual 'band' was only shown in silhouette, while the string section, choirs, backing singers and guest performers were lit. Damon Albarn doesn't come out from the shadows till the next to last song.

...alright, alright, perhaps I do not "despise" the Chinese zither. I am frankly not entirely sure what a Chinse zither is. It sounds like a rather questionable sexual practice. I am sure I would find it icky in the context of a faux band, anyway. Does that "9 Girls Band" have one? I saw them in concert...on a DVD...playing in Wal-Mart...on a Sunday morning at around 4 or so. Under those circumstances, it was all truly lovely. Truly. I might have be mildly buzzed on Thorazine and vodka at the time. That shouldn't negate the emotional truth of the moment, though, should it? I hope not. I bought their CD and lost the receipt.
You know, Deicide writes some very moving lyrics. Have you heard "Kill the Christian"? Yes, well, I fear I just gave the whole thing away. Its rather self-explanatory...

You probably think I am making a mockery of your thread, but really, I'm just lonely.
I would most assuredly socialize publicly with Mr. Benton, should the occasion arise. He has a certain everyman charm about him that belies the inverted cross burnt into his forehead. Doubtless he has no more idea than I once did what a Chinese Zither is, but Sculpey has taught us all today how such ignorance can be easily overcome by a simple interweb search!
I have learned much. Rest assured, it will not be forgotten. At least not until I drink myself into oblivion tonight. Then I will have to come back here to find out what the hell I wrote.
